Identity is Alaska’s statewide LGBT organization founded in 1977 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and based in Anchorage, Alaska. Our Vision: Identity envisions a world where all people are free to express and be proud of their gender identity and sexual orientation. Our Mission: Identity’s mission is to advance Alaska’s LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community through advocacy, education and connectivity.

As a nonprofit 501c3 organization we rely on the generosity of individuals to help fund programs, services, and support to our community. Annually, we produce our Pride celebration event that creates safe and inclusive spaces for our LGBTQ+ community which honors our history and pays tribute to the present movement.
